appears to have been made in the late 1800’s to early
1900’s. It has wool upholstery and has had repairs. The photos below depict these repairs. The piece stands 18” tall, 17” wide at the arms, and 12” deep. The photos speak for themselves, this is a beautiful little piece of antique furniture।

This charming oak table dates circa the late 1800’s to early 1900’s and is English in origin. The piece is in good condition except that the finish has some wear and there is a 3” crack in the surface of the tabletop that is depicted in the photos below. The underneath of the table definitely has signs of wear but that is to be expected with a gate leg of this age. It is difficult to tell, but a few of the screws may not be original. The tabletop measures 47” by 35” when both leaves are opened and stands 28” tall. When the leaves are dropped the surface of the table measures 15” by 35.” The 8 legs have elegantly carved twists making this a very beautiful piece.

Michael Lipitch established his antiques business in 1960. However, the family name “Lipitch” has been synonomus with the antiques profession for one hundred years.

The company aims to provide collectors, museums and designers an opportunity to utilise the experience of an established expert in 17th, 18th & 19th century antiques.

All pieces are personally selected by Michael, with authenticity, provenence, rarety, original colour and patination being of upmost importance.

Michael Lipitch is based in Mayfair (by appointment only) and exhibits annually at The Grosvenor House Art and Antiques Fair.

Fine antiques and works of art have been my passion and have provided me with an immense amount of pleasure during my career as a dealer. I am now concentrating on helping others find the finest pieces and would welcome the opportunity in helping you to further your appreciation and, in doing so, further your collection.

This dazzling 15 light chandelier fills the room with an enchanting glow. The long thin droplets that run along the bottom rim are hand blown glass. The larger tear shaped droplets are pressed glass and the branches are cased in acrylic. The chandelier measures 31” tall and 26” wide।
